Procurement Team Lead | London / Home Working | Well known British Insurance Firm

£40-50,000 + up to 25% bonus + 25 days holiday, good pension and private healthcare

We are pleased to be supporting a highly regarded British Insurance firm to secure new procurement talent to support the Head of Procurement. The organisation has recently brought back in house the tactical sourcing function and as a result have created this role to lead this team. 

 

You will conduct external supply market research, internal business and manage your own supplier negotiations on procurement projects with a contract value of less than £250,000. This is a fantastic move if you are looking to build upon your procurement knowledge by taking ownership of your own spend portfolio across a range of category areas.


What the role involves:

Leading all sourcing and contracting activities for spend up to £250k across indirect services.
Conduct detailed bid analysis and lead supplier negotiation strategies.
Develop contracts (and maintain contracts database) in accordance with third party contracts policy.
Support the wider procurement team in providing the right credible data and deliver supplier segmentation in a high volume of contracts.


The person we hope to find

You will have 3-4 years procurement experience,
Ideally you will be studying for CIPS
Ideally you will have knowledge of buying indirect services, particularly IT (Software licensing & SaaS)
Source to Pay or Procure to Pay experience is an advantage but not essential.
You will have a strong capability understanding data / cost analysis & modelling.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Ariba.
