Indirect Category Manager - IT and Telecoms - Global FTSE 100 FMCG Giant
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Car Package

A world renowned FMCG giant is seeking a high performing Indirect procurement Category Manager to take complete ownership over their critical IT and Telecom category. You will support my client's world-wide digital transformation initiative; providing the rare opportunity to exercise your procurement expertise and commercial autonomy at a strategic level.

You will play a crucial role during this commercial transition and simultaneously advocate their Corporate Social Responsibility mission within procurement. If successful, you will join one of the world's oldest and most highly regarded brands in history.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the digital transformation of the FTSE 100 listed company whilst creating cost equilibriums and streamlining processes
  • Devise and introduce Category Management spend strategy across IT and Telecoms sub-categories including Software, Hardware, Maintenance, Outsourcing and others
  • Diligently and consistently ensure the highest quality and security control across all sub categories across a large geographical area
  • Use your negotiation skill and commercial acumen to lead negotiation strategy as part of your end-to-end sourcing process across sub-categories including Telecom hardware
  • Continuously deliver cost savings, accurate budget forecasting, and comprehensively identify and mitigate risk across your broad indirect remit
  • Be able and willing to incorporate a strong Corporate Social Responsibility ethos into your strategy and procurement decisions


You will have:

  • 5+ years in indirect IT and Telecoms services covering an international geographical scope is considered ideal
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to strategically collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • A track record in competently negotiating complex and numerous contracts within IT procurement services
  • A relevant university degree and/or highly regarded professional qualifications are required
