Procurement Category Manager - Food Industry - FTSE 100 Organisation

Salary: £40k - £50k + Excellent Bonus + Package

Location: Leeds (Flexible working)

As one of the most recognised names in the industry, this organisation is seeking an ambitious Procurement Manager to join their largest indirect procurement category. Entering a growing area of the business and working alongside various members of their senior leadership team, this position has a natural path for progression as the successful individual will be taking advantage of the firm's excellent reputation for upskilling their employees.

The main indirect categories that you will be focusing on will be Property, Construction, Logistics Procurement and FM. The right individual will ideally have experience in, as well as a passion for these indirect procurement categories. Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing a large spend across the indirect procurement categories - Hard & Soft FM, Property, Construction, as well as logistics
  • Develop new strategies for business development and reporting to senior members in the procurement team as to how the company may take advantage of them
  • Negotiate, and create relationships with, internal and external suppliers whilst developing a strong network of each particular market
  • Manage stakeholder relationships - ensuring a positive working relationship is in place

Required Experience:

  • Strong ability to develop and manage stakeholder engagement plans for a complex environment across multiple individuals, teams and business units
  • Previous experience managing the end-to-end procurement process, ideally within FM, Construction and Logistics
  • Strong analytical abilities and excellent Microsoft excel skills
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • Degree and CIPS qualified (advantageous but not necessary)
