IT & Telecoms Procurement Lead - Digital Transformation - Defence Technology Firm

Location: South East England (Flexible)

Salary: £65000 - £75000

This multinational defence technology firm is undergoing a £100m digital transformation. As a result, they are seeking a high-achieving IT & Telecoms procurement lead to assist with the transformation and manage categories including hardware, software, cyber and technology.

Recognised as world-class in their research and development, the successful individual will be working within a market leading organisation that are well known for innovation. As IT & Telecoms Procurement Lead you will be collaborating with the supply chain team as well as reporting into the Head of Procurement.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead the procurement function during the £100m digital transformation
• Source new suppliers, negotiate and manage contracts and monitor performance
• Develop supplier and stakeholder relationships and ensure
• Deliver risk management strategies to mitigate the impact of volatile supply markets
• Assist with the management of new IT systems (including P2P software)
• Manage the full end-to-end process

Required Experience:

• 5+ years in procurement in IT and Telecom is beneficial
• Experience leading large procurement projects (full end-to-end process)
• Understanding of licensing within IT Procurement
• Previous experience on a digital transformation is highly favourable
• Strong background in procurement and category management is essential
• Degree and CIPS qualified, or equivalent is desirable
