High-End Bespoke Products Manufacturer

Location - Peterborough, UK (2-3 Days in Office)

Salary - £40k-£45k + Package

Following its recent acquisition by a renowned international Private Equity investment firm, this high-end bespoke products manufacturer is undergoing a significant transformation of its procurement and supply chain department to deliver significant improvements to their internal process and deliver an exceptional service to its customers.

With a full order book for 2021 and the rest of their product portfolio for 2022 either sold or on reserve, the business requires an experienced expeditor and materials planner to ensure the business has all the materials it needs to complete their orders in time.

As Expeditor and Materials Planner you will be the key point of contact with suppliers ensuring availability of supplies, tracking supplier performance, supplier risk, and building long-term strategic relationships with suppliers.

The key skills and experience required for the Expeditor and Materials Planner positions includes:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills to improve poor supplier relationships and build long-terms strategic supplier partnerships
  • Expert knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics and operations to identify and resolve problems related to supply of materials
  • Highly organized to manage a large portfolio of suppliers and materials and ensure consistent on-time delivery of goods
  • Strong cross-functional business management experience to work effectively with operations, logistics, supply chain and finance
  • Autonomous and tenacious problem solver able to fix problems with underperforming suppliers and implement appropriate solutions
