AKVA Group is a global leader and one of the world’s most recognised brands of aquaculture and technology: offering both cage farming and land-based aquaculture operations with complete technical solutions and service. AKVA Group’s mission is to create solutions and service that will optimise production and enable a sustainable, cost-efficient and safe aquaculture industry.

AKVA Group is now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager. This new role will be responsible for the logistics, inventory management, purchasing and warehouse of the busy Inverness site as well as the assembly department. You will be at the forefront of driving and implementing projects within supply chain. The role will also involve the management and coordination of a team of 7, bringing plenty of opportunity for career growth and working on the team management side of the business. The role will contribute greatly to the larger senior management team and develop relationships with suppliers and distributors. Equally, there will be considerable opportunity to work with a range of partners in international offices.

AKVA Group is going through a great deal of transformation and improvement, and they are looking for the right candidate to be part of the SMT. You must have several years’ experience of working in a fast-paced, technical environment and have some background in an ERP system. Notably, you will be a self-starter and highly proficient in your communication and team working skills. You will have the ability to balance working independently whilst also being able to support the management team. As AKVA Group is an international leader, experience of working with international colleagues and exposure to different cultural backgrounds would be an advantage. Overall, you should be able to motivate and positively influence your team and make good decisions under pressure.

For more information on this exciting new role within one of Scotland’s market leaders, please get in contact with Nigel Fortnum or Kate Kennedy on 0141 212 7555 for a confidential discussion about the opportunity.
