  • Leading the Procurement and Purchasing functions for a key business and manufacturing location of a sector leading international group
  • Join the Manufacturing Operations Team in a world class Lean environment working within a full SAP implementation

This is a rare opportunity to join the management team of a highly successful and growing technology based manufacturer of specialised capital equipment for the food ingredient processing sector.  As a prominent member of an established international group this company has a worldwide reputation in its field and over ninety percent of its products are exported.  The supply chain has a significant international content with requirements spanning metal fabrication, sub-assemblies, specialist components, electromechanical systems and electronics together with all indirect services, with an annual spend of approximately £30 million.

Reporting directly to Director level this role carries responsibility for the leadership of a professional team in the development and implementation of a sustainable international supply chain strategy covering current production and NPI processes together with all associated procurement and purchasing activity.  The role calls for a proven supply chain professional with a progressive career to date within the manufacturing sector based upon graduate level qualifications and professional training ideally including full CIPS membership.

Previous purchasing and supply chain management experience within acknowledged Lean manufacturing environments supported by advanced ERP systems, ideally SAP, would be advantageous.  Most important will be your leadership qualities and demonstrable experience of international supply chain development coupled with continuing drive and the ability to enthuse, mentor and develop others by your own example.  In joining this worldwide group this position offers a wide range of benefits together with the opportunity to share best practice across an international stage whilst contributing to the successful growth of one of the group’s most prominent businesses and highly invested manufacturing locations.
