Procurement Manager - Ingredients

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing Food Manufacturer as the Procurement Manager Ingredients, managing a vast and varied Ingredients portfolio in a fast paced food production environment.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you will effectively manage the Company’s ingredients portfolio from a commercial perspective. This includes developing and executing appropriate Procurement strategies for each of the ingredient categories to ensure best value is balanced with risk reduction whilst maintaining continuity of supply.

As Procurement Manager Ingredients, you will be involved in sourcing at concept stage with NPD, contract negotiation, full production and continuous supplier management/development.

Key requirements for the Procurement Manager Ingredients role:

• Breadth of Ingredients Procurement experience – essential
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) – confident in expressing opinions/presenting through to Director and SMT level (face to face and via Teams)
• Strong negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills – resilient in managing current supply chain challenges.
• Strong eye for detail, highly analytical and numerate, have a good grasp upon performance v budget and figures – able to interrogate data and present back effectively
• Enthusiastic, keen to learn and receptive to develop knowledge and adopt new concepts
• Efficient, adept at multi-tasking, flexible in approach – must be able to service multi-functional stakeholders
• Degree qualified with MCIPS desirable.
