This global industry-leading organization has exciting plans to double billion-pound revenue over the next 5 years and is seeking a passionate procurement professional to join its class as a Procurement Engineering Manager. You will be working in a best-in-class organization that prides itself on defying conventional boundaries through unprecedented technological innovation.

You will drive cross-department collaboration with a range of teams, from NPI and NPD to Research and Operations, in relation to both established products and procurement processes as well as exciting New Product Introduction. This organization provides extensive opportunities to quickly progress within 1-2 years.

Procurement Engineering Manager, responsibilities…

• Effectively partner with all relevant teams to deliver early supplier engagement in order to drive excellent technology supplier selection in the early development processes
• Attend research projects for assigned projects across a variety of product categories to pre-determine upcoming requirements and necessary supplier qualification
• Lead procurement alignment on overall supplier strategy through effective collaboration with the procurement engineering commodity owners
• Autonomously drive cost avoidance activity using a range of proven approaches as well as continuously drive excellent procurement strategy that will then be leveraged worldwide

Procurement Engineering Manager, requirements…

• Desire to work in a fast paced environment
• Ability to demonstrate a strong track record within direct procurement
• Strong skills surrounding strategic procurement, SRM and negotiation
• Ideally experience collaborating with engineering departments or engineering education
