Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and professional Corporate Procurement Manager to join our Resources Team. In this role, you will lead a professional Procurement team who are committed to driving positive change through procurement activity which is central to the organisation. The procurement function is governance led and provides advice and guidance to colleagues engaging in all procurement activities.

You will be at the forefront of all WDHs most important commercial projects and be directly responsible for developing innovative and value driven procurement strategies that will make a positive and proactive contribution to the overall Business Strategy and management of the organisation.

You will have an opportunity to shape how goods, works and services are commissioned, as well as challenge the way the business purchases through use and management of procurement IT systems and spend analytics. WDH is in the process of considering a contract management system, some experience of system implementation will be desirable.

With a strong emphasis on ensuring WDH meets its contractual obligations, this role is intrinsic to developing new and sustainable approaches to procurement which will be at the forefront of supporting growth, regeneration and social value.

What we’re looking for:

  • full membership of CIPS;
  • significant management and senior level procurement experience with knowledge of construction management;
  • strong knowledge of PCR2015 procurement rules and processes;
  • strong presentation skills and the ability to promote the organisation to a wide range of individuals and external contacts, and
  • strong negotiating skills and an ability to present ideas and technical information with clarity.
