A World leading Engineering and Manufacturing Company pioneering cutting edge technologies through innovation is seeking an Experienced Procurement Logistics Expert to help transform its procurement function.
Dealing with partners across Europe, a successful candidate will have deep knowledge on European Road Transport Logistics and the skills to source and manage only the best suppliers in this industry. You will hold performance to a high standard and be adaptive to the challenging nature of modern day procurement logistics.
Key Procurement responsibilities:
- Actively lead commercial and operational cost improvement initiatives together with stakeholders
- Development and execution of the regional Purchasing strategies for road transportation and warehousing
- Management of regional logistics tenders
- Strengthen supplier relationships and work strategically to improve processes in tandem with partners
Key Procurement Skills:
- European road transport logistics procurement experience a must
- Purchasing and supplier relationship expertise
- Experience in negotiation of strategic contracts with international partners
- Results driven with proven record of meeting procurement savings targets
- Communication and negotiation capability of long term contracts
- Degree qualified + CIPS or equivalent purchasing qualification advantageous
