Role: Procurement Category Manager
Location: Birmingham + Flexi Working
Firm: UK Leading Construction Investment Firm
Salary: £55-75,000 + Benefits + Car Allowance

Procurement Category Manager:
- The Procurement Category Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering the companies procurement strategies, and supplier strategies by using market analysis, supplier selection, risk & opportunity assessments, and forecasting requirements.
- You would be required to work closely with all commercial teams in contract supplier negotiations, while ensuring and carrying out supplier checks and past performance and then reporting back to the Head of Procurement.
- Using your own market knowledge and experience you should continuously seek and explore new suppliers, products.
- This company want someone to exceed minimum service by delivering an agile, value adding service, as you should have an in-dept understanding of customer requirement, technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiently.
Key Procurement Category Manager Qualities & Experience:
- Strong experience of complex procurement processes, ideally within construction or major projects related environment.
- A strategic thinker with known experience in design, delivery, execution and management procurement category package strategies.
- They want someone who has a keen eye for attention to detail, ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
- You need to have experience in supplier management, negotiation and process compliance.
- Desirably they are looking for someone with an understanding in legal frameworks and/or contract laws, MCIPS, leadership experience and worked with R12 and Jaggaer systems.
