Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Manager - Industry Leading Aerospace & Defence Company - WFH Reading - £50-60K + Package

This £multibillion defence major is heavily investing in their Supply Chain operations to accelerate away from the pack with an integrated, world-class end-to-end Supply Chain that will simplify and optimise demand, supply and logistics distribution activities.

As End-to-End Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Manager you will play a pivotal role in transforming the business' Global Planning operating model, ensuring the delivery of outstanding service whilst optimising inventory and cost.

They are seeking an individual who has prior experience working on CAPEX and Major Equipment spend across the defence and aerospace sector with the ability to manage teams and think innovatively to drive key business targets

Senior Supply Chain Manager - Major Equipment role profile:-

  • Developing multi-year end-to-end supply chain solutions that improve service level and optimise working capital and costs
  • Making recommendations to Supply Chain Directorship to optimise supply chain plans related to relevant SKU subsets, including optimal allocation of capacity across sites and inventory balance to deliver required service level in the regions
  • Managing product changes within the SKU portfolio including source changes, network transfers, NPI and site support
  • Responsible for running multi-year network planning with associated exception resolution escalated from the Site Supply Managers, and supply plan response for all in-scope products
  • Being an integral link in the chain to the regional hubs, 3rd party customers and a business partner to the supply sites to drive collaboration and partnership.

Required background & experience:-

  • Significant knowledge of supply and demand planning and supply chain systems
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement across the Supply Chain
  • Ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Degree preferred though not essential
