About The Role

Entain is one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming entertainment groups – a FTSE 100 company that is home to more than 25 widely recognised brands, such as bwin, Coral, Foxy, Gala, Ladbrokes and partypoker. Operating in +30 countries we’re constantly broadening our horizons and expanding our global influence.

As part of the Global Procurement Team, you will be able to influence £multimillion spend across multiple Marketing categories. This role can be based in GIB or Nottingham UK.

We seek candidates that will bring an analytical, resolutive and proactive way of working, focused on delivering results in a high-paced environment. Our ideal applicant has previous experience in Procurement Marketing, from a high-performance culture environment, ideally in the entertainment industry, and is hungry to take on a challenge and make an impact at a fun, fast-growing business.

The successful applicant will require a mix of entrepreneurialism, creativity, administration and commercial logic.

Role objectives

  • Become the “go to” person for commercially related matters regarding the specific marketing categories.
  • Obtain a holistic view of the spend and supplier base across the group (markets/brands) in order to optimize third party marketing spend.
  • Maintain excellent and valuable relationships with both internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Support the category strategy by identifying synergies, processes improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Review spend across the group and analyse supplier base and business requirements.
  • Identify and lead projects ensuring they are delivered on time and targets are achieved.
  • Engage with local and international stakeholders to understand requirements and strategies, identify opportunities, align goals and share best practices.
  • Manage our supplier network lifecycle (onboarding and developing new supplier relationships, support on service-related issues, monitoring performance, etc.)
  • Develop and conduct RFX’s when needed ensuring size and complexity are fit for purpose. Recommend award of business with detailed justification.
  • Support the development and negotiation of new contracts, as well as manage the existing ones.
  • Manage supplier risk to protect our brands from financial, operational, and reputational damage.
  • Take an active role in cross-departmental activities and support the implementation of the procurement strategy and policy to ensure team goals are met.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

  • University graduate in Business/Management, Economics or related fields
  • MCIPS procurement qualification is a plus

Specialist Skills and Experience Required

  • 4-7 years of professional experience in a high-performance culture environment, ideally with experience from/exposure to strategic procurement in an online and retail business within a regulated sector.
  • Preferred experience with Marketing categories, preferably creative services, offline and digital media, partnerships/sponsorships, market research, promotional items and Loyalty programmes.
  • Excellent understanding of overall procurement processes/tactics, including benchmarking, management of RFX’s, competitive analysis, procure-to-pay and relevant tools.
  • Excellent skills negotiating and leading the contractual process, including evaluation or monitoring contract performance to determine compliance to contractual obligations and identify potential needs for amendments.
  • Autonomous style of working and strong project management skills. At the same time collaborative and team oriented.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset - strong command of Excel is a must
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Portuguese and/or German is a plus.
  • Competence to effectively align with different stakeholders and to cooperate with diverse internal and external senior audiences.
