At Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) and the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA), we're here to provide for the Army, the Royal Navy, and the Royal Air Force, as they serve our country all over the world. We deliver the kit the UK military needs to maintain advantage and stay protected, as they protect life at home and overseas.

We're currently seeking Senior Commercial Managers to provide commercial leadership within DE&S and the SDA. You'll work on a huge variety of vitally important programmes that will ensure that people entrusted with the defence of the nation have the tools and equipment to do their best job.

You will be responsible for leading and motivating your team to deliver a complex commercial project, or a portfolio of projects, for equipment and/or service - these can be in the pre-sourcing, sourcing, contract management, sales and disposal phases.

To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
Experience of managing Sourcing and/or Contract Management activities on a large scale on more complex or high-risk projects and programmes
• Experience in leading and managing professional teams

If successful, you will be supported to undertake the following:
• Leadership development and defence commercial professionalism courses to develop commercial skills and ensure on-going Continuing Professional Development.
• Relevant Study for Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and achieve Level 6 qualification, if not already held. This will be funded and supported by DE&S / SDA.

If the outcome of the review results in an increase in the minimum salary and your salary offer falls below the new minimum, your salary will be increased to the new amount from your contracted start date. If the new minimum is less than the salary you are offered, the original salary offer will be retained.
