Indirect Procurement Category Manager - FTSE100 Financial Services Major - £55-65k + Excellent Benefits - Modern Central London Offices
Widley-regarded for their world-class commercial team and innovative product range, blue-chip FMCG Major is seeking an ambitious indirect procurement professional to enter into a lead position in the indirect procurement function. Entering a newly-created role, the successful individual will be given autonomy to lead strategic category plans across a range of different categories, partnering with key stakeholders to understand the commercial objectives of the business, before applying procurement principles to achieve the maximum results.
As a leader of the indirect categories, you will be managing teams and shaping junior procurement talent. This is a great opportunity to expand your procurement knowledge and hone in on managerial skills.
The successful candidate will have experience across a range of different indirect categories, including but not limited to; HR, Professional Services, Fleet, FM, and IT
Senior Category Manager Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to develop strategic category plans across various indirect categories
- Strategically source new suppliers, managing the full end-to-end tender process to maximise savings and create value within the function
- Liaising with global stakeholders to effectively sell the value of procurement and increase the value of mandated spend
- Creating and implementing innovative ideas for the long and short-term development of the function
Senior Category Manager Requirements:
- Involvement in managing large spends across direct or indirect categories with a proven track record of generating savings and creating value in a function
- Experience strategically sourcing new suppliers and managing the full end-to-end tender process
- Strong experience drafting and managing contracts with existing and new suppliers
- CIPS and Degree qualified (desirable) achieving a 2.1 or equivalent
