Following consecutive years of double-digit revenue growth, this leading global IT Services business is looking to significantly expand its European Procurement organization and particularly the Nordics region which is the newest and most rapidly growing market for the business.
IT stands at the core of this organization meaning the IT Procurement Category Manager will directly impact the primary products and services of the business. Achieving optimal costs from your supply base will mean the business can offer more competitive IT Service rates to their customers and further expand their growing market share in the region.
Today, the Nordic market has a spend of approx. €45M across all core IT spend categories (Hardware, Software, Professional Services, SaaS, Licensing, and more) and this number is expected to continue growing in the next few years.
As the IT Procurement Category Manager for the Nordics Region you will:-
- Build and implement an effective regional procurement category strategy across all IT spend areas in coordination with your global procurement colleagues
- Provide subject matter expertise and market knowledge to internal business stakeholders in the region
- Support the sales teams on bid management and acquisition of new customers
- Manage one category buyer based in the region and support a couple of dotted-line reports in the shared service center
- Challenge the status quo by providing new ideas and methodologies that will improve procurement processes and deliver better value to the P&L
To be considered for the position of IT Procurement Category Manager for the Nordics you must have the following skills and experience:-
- Clear track record and expertise in managing a variety of IT Procurement projects across hardware, software, and services
- Excellent commercials skills with regards to contracts management and negotiation
- Highly strategic mindset with the ability to think outside the box and implement changes that will drive operational efficiency
- Ability to work in a very fast-paced and high-pressure global environment and adapt quickly to changing business needs
- Highly influential personality and experience in managing stakeholder relationships up to CIO and CPO level
- Must speak fluent Swedish as well as a professional level of English
