FM and Construction Procurement Category Manager - Hybrid Working -Longstanding Public Sector Company

Location: Slough

Salary: 45-60k

This long standing public sector company are seeking an experienced FM and Construction Procurement Manager to join their procurement function. This role offers the opportunity to manage a senior procurement officer, instilling best practice, and effective procurement methods.

This role will see the successful candidate acting in part of a wider team to solidify the trajectory of the wider procurement function towards more strategic procurement methodologies.

The company boast some impressive sustainability initiatives which will see the successful candidate working across areas such as electric vehicles amongst other things. There are new construction projects on which the successful candidate will have autonomy to manage a spend of approximately £8-9m.

FM and Construction Procurement Category Manager Involves:

  • The development of strategic procurement sourcing strategies.
  • The identification of areas of cost saving and value adding across both the FM and Construction categories.
  • Creating lasting and effective relationships with stakeholders, across all levels, therefore creating an effective collaborative working environment.
  • Autonomy over a construction project managing a spend of £8-9m.

FM and Construction Procurement Category Manager Success Profile:

  • Strong proven category knowledge across estates and facilities procurement, as well as construction procurement.
  • Exposure to OJEU regulations, and construction procurement with knowledge of NEC3 and JCT contract frameworks.
  • A mixed experience across both public and private sectors is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in the negotiation and formation of contracts pertaining to estates, construction, and facilities management procurement category areas.
