Lee Valley Regional Park Authority have a challenging and rewarding position for a highly professional and experienced Procurement Officer within our Sport & Leisure Team.

35 hours per week

Lee Valley Regional Park Authority (LVRPA) is a statutory body that is responsible for managing and developing the 26 miles long, 10,000 acres Lee Valley Regional Park. It owns a variety of sporting and leisure venues alongside its open spaces.

You’ll be supporting all of our venues, central teams and our Leisure Service Contract projects to provide management and development of the procurement activity to maximise value for money, embed good practice, drive innovation, and support to all the Authority’s project leads to deliver the best possible outcomes for the Authority. There is real variety, from FTS level contracts across the Authority’s venues and open spaces to sourcing best value contracts for all our services and projects.

Involved in all areas of the business and strategic projects, you will need to be commercial and creative and focussed on driving best value solutions.

The Procurement Officer will advise Authority project and service leads on procurement and support them with tendering exercises via the procurement tender system In-Tend. The post holder will also be responsible for managing and fielding supplier queries, supporting market engagement, providing contract administration, as well as working on sourcing and contract management activities.

Working in full compliance with the Public Contract Regulations and the Authority’s own Financial Regulations you will ensure legally compliant and robust contracts are established, minimising risk of challenge to the Authority.

Degree qualified or equivalent in experience, you should ideally have CIPS Membership. You will have demonstrable practical procurement experience across the areas of goods, services and works which includes market benchmarking, full involvement in the tendering process and contract award, through to the monitoring of contracts, while working in a diverse range of cross functional teams. You should possess excellent IT skills including the analysis of data and be able to use Excel and Word effectively.  The candidate will be required to use the Authority’s e-tendering portal In-Tend to run the tender projects and full training will be provided.

This role will be filled initially on a hybrid basis. This means you are able to work remotely part of the working week with an expectation to attend the office up to 3 days per week. Any journeys to the office would be at your own expense. More specific details about this can be discussed at the interview stage should you be invited to interview.
