Bramwith Consulting is engaged on a retained search assignment with this global e-Commerce & Distribution giant that is currently experiencing a period of unprecedented, double-digit %, growth to find their next Vice President to lead the operations of their Global and National Distribution Centres in the UK and Europe including the Go-Live of their latest, flagship, distribution center in Germany.

You will be joining the organization amid their Vision 2025 Transformation Program that aims to significantly bolster the company's market position by tackling issues in their Customer & Supplier Experience, Supply Chain Operational Excellence, e-Commerce Digitalization, and many other areas.

Reporting to the President of Global Supply Chain, you will be taking on the largest operational area of the business, managing the company's key distribution centers. You will directly manage a senior team of Site Directors and General Managers who in turn are responsible for over one thousand team members in the UK and Europe.

What will be expected of the Vice President of Distribution Centres : -

  • Primary responsibility will be to drive continuous improvement and process excellence to the operations of the global distribution centers whilst maintaining a highly motivated and high-performing team of over 1500 staff
  • Delivery of technological innovations to the distribution centers through the implementation of more advanced process automation tools; implementing Manhattan WMS
  • Ensure the preparedness and continuous operational efficiency of the distribution centers against any potential global supply chain crises
  • Build on the existing relationships with Workers' Unions and local councils for the betterment of employee work standards
  • Work in partnership with other global Supply Chain & Operations executives to share industry best practices and identify opportunities for synergies & innovation

The Vice President of Distribution Centres should have the following skills and experience to succeed in this position:-

  • Exceptional knowledge of highly automated, small-parcel, e-Commerce global distribution operations
  • A proven track record of delivering change management and transformation programs in a multi-site supply chain leadership role
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage, motivate and communicate with a highly diverse and international team of over one thousand staff
  • Subject matter expertise of WMS such as Manhattan, SAP ERP, EWM and their implementation to deliver better operational efficiency
  • Highly inspirational personality able to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Global Supply Chain Leadership, Unions & Work Councils, Global Operations teams, and key global suppliers

As the second-in-command to the President of Global Supply Chain, your success in the position of Vice President of Distribution Centres will make you a clear successor to step into the President position as your next career step within the business. The position of VP of Distribution Centres will provide you with immense exposure within this global market leader and the opportunity to significantly impact and improve the company's operational performance to meet its ambitious growth targets for the coming years.
