This fast-growth Financial Technology (FinTech) business is looking to establish its first procurement organization in line with its long-term growth strategy. The organization has already rapidly expanded following the merger of multiple firms and has plans to continue its expansion through acquisitions and the development of its core software service in the future.

This FinTech business operates in a wide range of industry sectors and has projected major growth opportunities within its Tourism markets due to the forecasted increase in international travel and holidays as global travel restrictions subside.

The Greenfield Head of Procurement will have the challenging role of establishing the foundational structures of an effective procurement organization by building strong relationships with the executive leaders in the business. You will take on an initial spend budget of approx. €80M in indirect spend made up of IT, Marketing, Facilities, and other corporate services. You will also be responsible for the management of a team of two FTEs and the recruitment and training of future headcounts.

As the Greenfield Head of Procurement you will be expected to:-

• Lead the deployment of procurement's long-term strategy, processes, and procedures to ensure the business adheres to industry best practices and due diligence
• Implementation of category management plans across all major spend pools and ensure alignment with internal stakeholders and budget owners
• Deliver a structured sourcing methodology that will consistently achieve business cost savings goals
• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to internal business stakeholders to ensure procurement is delivering the best value to their departments
• Act as the key supplier manager and primary negotiator on major supplier contracts
• Provide leadership, training, and development to your team of procurement specialists

As this is a greenfield position, the role will require someone who is confident and comfortable working in a very low-maturity procurement environment, with the knowledge of how to build a procurement organization from scratch. As the Head of Procurement in this greenfield department, you will need to have exceptional stakeholder management skills to build effective relationships that will allow the procurement function to thrive.
