We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to take responsibility for the contractual elements on our major contracts to include planned and cyclical maintenance and responsive repairs (undertaken on the Council’s social housing stock) and any other major works programmes, as identified by the Council.
We recognise the need for dedicated and professional contract and performance management and the tangible financial and reputational value that this delivers.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead on this role through the application of robust and dynamic contract and performance management techniques and to develop supplier relations with these key contractors.
The main purpose of this role will be ensure that contracts are delivered and managed in line with the contractual provisions, specifications, budgets, KPIs and any agreed variations. The role will also have responsibility for governance, change management, performance management and the management of risk.
Although the role will primarily support Housing contracts, it has been consciously located within a separate directorate to ensure that the governance and management of the contracts are delivered in a balanced manner.
Applicants must have a driving licence which is valid in the UK and use of a vehicle.
A check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate for the above post has no relevant convictions.
