Procurement Category Specialist (HR) - Global Law Firm

Salary - Market competing salary + bonus

A globally-renowned firm part of the magic-circle, is looking to permanently onboard the next up and coming Specialist Procurement Manager.

Known for its high-quality procurement function, you will be tasked with leading the firms ever-evolving and changing HR category spend valued roughly at £30-35M, considered of high importance for this firm. This role is ideal for those who wish for flexible working as with this role remote work is expected, with occasional visits to a top of the range Central London office. This can be good for those who live in and around London in such places as, Essex, Milton Keynes, Luton, Surrey, Hertfordshire, and Berkshire

As a Sourcing Manager within this firm, you will act as the global category lead for this function, operating closely with senior stakeholders (including Partners), ideal for your personal recognition within the organisation, plus play a key leadership role within the team and report into top senior managers and CPO. This is a highly progressive role, critical to this organisation.

As the Procurement Category Specialist, you will be the connecting point that assists the business teams in the completion of supplier contracts, such responsibility will entail negotiation and pivotal interaction with specialists both internally and externally. The role is presented as the Procurement Category Specialist in HR & Professional Services it is not limited to only those as if you have an extensive background in indirect Procurement with knowledge of HR & Professional Services this role will still be open to you.

Key skills and experience desired for the HR Procurement Category Specialist role:

  • Possess leadership ability to lead key strategic sourcing and category management projects of indirect spend areas, including marketing, HR & wider professional services
  • Pre-existing relationships with large vendors in indirect procurement categories
  • Proven track record to create RFI's and RFP's in order to support projects across business teams
  • Experience indirect category spend within a global firm, more specifically experience in projects within HR or wider professional services
  • A degree level qualification or relevant business qualification is highly beneficial
  • MCIPS qualified or a relevant business qualification is also highly beneficial
