This international technology consultancy firm specializes in delivering Procurement & Finance technology and services to help their clients streamline their client's purchasing and payment processes. The European team is growing and the business is delivering a wider range of services to its clients including a fully Managed Service offering. As a Managed Service Provider, this consultancy will offer its clients a fully managed, streamlined, Procure-to-Pay service including the management of purchasing requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
The purpose of the Director of Managed Services role will be to deliver the set-up f this new Managed Services offering. You will work cross-functionally with the technology implementation teams and procurement strategy and sourcing teams to build an effective business model for a Managed Service business.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a highly consultative and entrepreneurial background with experience in building a similar Managed Service organization from scratch.
Key skills required for success in the position of Director of Managed Services:-
- A strong sales and business development background to support the sales team in pipelining of new leads and potential customers
- Team leadership experience to recruit and build a multi-functional team to deliver an end-to-end managed service to your customers
- Ability to operate cross-functionally and internationally to coordinate multiple internal business teams to deliver one cohesive service
- Effective in a near-greenfield environment with a high level of ambiguity and experience in building a business unit from scratch
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices; strategic sourcing, category management, and supply management
- Subject matter expertise in broader business operations including Procure-to-Pay, Financial Modelling, People Development, and Finance Policy
