Our mission is to create a commercially focused, efficient, effective, professional and fully qualified Procurement team to deliver outstanding sustainable strategic value through innovative and best value commercial arrangements.

 

To achieve our Vision 2030 we have many exciting prestigious procurement projects. Total revenue and capital expenditure which falls within the scope of procurement over the next 3 years is estimated between £90 and £100 million. As this is a new team the opportunities to make a difference are vast, and you will get involved with projects for the redevelopment of our International Slavery Museum and Canning Docks as part of the famous Liverpool Albert Dock’s Waterfront transformation, several innovative exhibition programmes, visitor experience, estates management and everything in-between – this means you will need to be proactive and action oriented, work with initiative and able to manage your own time well.  

 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced enthusiastic Procurement Business Partner to help drive efficiency and procurement best practice as we establish our Procurement Department across our Group.

 

As Procurement Business Partner, you will lead on a wide variety of high-profile procurements, working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. You will use your procurement experience and commercial expertise to positively impact procurement across National Museums Liverpool and be challenged to apply innovative ways of thinking and working.  Effective relationship building is a must as you will be assisting in embedding new processes, policy and procedures to support procurement maturity across the Group.   You will also understand the risks involved in procurement practices and be able to influence and persuade stakeholders to drive value for money, procurement strategy, and contract management.

 

You must have practical experience of running end-to-end public procurement procedures, from specification development, preparing tender documents, evaluation, supplier and contract management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this client-supplier focused role and being fully MCIPS qualified will be advantageous.  IT literacy, numeracy, effective problem-solving skills and use of initiative are also key, along with excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
