Global Category Specialist (indirects) - Esteemed Professional Services Firm - £65k - Multiple Locations - Global Sourcing

As one of the most recognised brands in the world, this global Professional Services organisation is seeking an ambitious category specialist to enter a global role in their esteemed indirect procurement team. Capitalising on recent successes, the successful Procurement Professional will be looking after growing spend areas in a role that offers exposure to various senior managers whilst covering a plethora of categories. Entering a role which will include sourcing from differing geographies, the Category Specialist will be deeply embedded in the firm's global footprint and, as such, will reap the rewards of working for a business which encourages a collaborative working culture as well as upskilling their employees and developing high-achieving individuals internally.

Category Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Work with different areas of the business to develop strategic category plans across various indirect categories
  • Strategically source new suppliers, managing the full end-to-end tender process to maximise savings and create value within the function
  • Liaising with global stakeholders to effectively sell the value of procurement and increase the value of mandated spend
  • Creating and implementing innovative ideas for the long and short-term development of the function

Category Specialist Requirements:

  • Involvement in managing large spends across direct or indirect categories with a proven track record of generating savings and creating value in a function
  • Experience strategically sourcing new suppliers and managing the full end-to-end tender process
  • Strong experience drafting and managing contracts with existing and new suppliers
  • CIPS and Degree qualified (desirable) achieving a 2.1 or equivalent
