Senior Procurement Manager
Duties of the Role
The main purpose of this role is to provide proactive, enabling support to the Head of Procurement, senior stakeholders and the Procurement team, creating the framework for engagement with the market and providing advice on the current state of the market and future options.
To take a lead role on identified projects including the development, maintenance and implementation of category strategies for all spend categories in the University and ensuring social value commitments are considered and taken up across the University working collaboratively with similar organisations to maximise mutual benefit.

Qualifications and skills required
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and be a fully qualified member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS). You should have experience of delivering strategic procurement including the application of sustainable procurement principals to the procurement process to maximise student benefits in the supply chain. In addition, you will be highly organised and have excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others, the ability to construct clear and concise arguments to communicate complex messages to a range of stakeholders and a proven track record of collaboration.
