We are currently recruiting for Procurement professionals to join the Councils Procurement Team within the Resource and Place Delivery Directorate. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who will be team players and are able to work closely with stakeholders in a client focused environment. We are currently recruiting for two experienced Category Managers to shape and develop the relevant categories and provide Procurement support within the Corporate Service (Finance/HR/ICT) and Construction categories.

The role will provide strategic as well as operational Procurement advice and support across the Council, within the relevent categories. It will also involve developing and maintaining strong working relationships with officers across the different service directorates, as well as with senior managers to create and implement short, medium and long term Procurement and Contracting strategies.

The post holders will have experience of leading, undertaking and delivering procurement projects within a public sector environment as well as providing procurement advice and support on the full commercial lifecycle within the relevant category.

Comprehensive knowledge of the Public Procurement Regulations 2015 and its application when undertaking procurement and contracting activities is essential.
