Role: Senior IT Category Manager

Organisation: Leading Utilities Organisation

Location: Hybrid working, 2 days working from state-of-the-art office in Reading

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 plus package

This renowned utilities organisation seeks an ambitious driven procurement professional to join their IT procurement team. After recently restructuring they want to transform and innovate their procurement function to ensure they have cutting edge procurement processes and maintain their best-in-class reputation. You will be responsible for managing IT categories including software, hardware and IT services, and will implement processes to reduce spend or driving commercial value in line with the organisation's goals.

Senior IT Category Manager Responsibilities:

  • You will be using your previous SRM experience to strengthen supplier relationships within the IT category
  • You will be responsible for driving commercial value within the IT category and the procurement function as a whole
  • Strategic planning and ensuring you are aligned with the organisation's goals for sustainability
  • After a recent restructuring they want innovative and creative professionals who will seek to implement change and development within the procurement function
  • You will autonomy to develop processes and align with the goals of the organisation within professional services

Senior IT Category Manager Key Requirements:

  • Experience in managing categories across indirects will be ideal in this role
  • Being adaptable and agile would be beneficial to your success in this role as you will have numerous procurement project responsibilities at once
  • The ideal candidate is ambitious with a desire to grow and develop in a challenging and everchanging environment

This is a flexible hybrid role with occasional travel to the offices in Reading and if you desired you would be able to work in the Reading Office.
