This global facilities management firm is looking to bring on a driven and enthusiastic procurement professional with experience in building and construction work in any procurement practice. This highly recognised organisation has gone through an unprecedented amount of growth and is paving the grounds for a more established and widely recognised procurement function within the core of the business.

They are looking for a procurement professional that can contribute to the innovative culture that ensures your involvement is valued, recognised and central to decision making. This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a procurement category manager - centred around self-development as opposed to a pure monetary focus.

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will:

  • Develop strong relationships:
    • Being within a multinational organisation - working alongside global clients, means that you will develop and be responsible for strong stakeholder relationships as a means of maintaining the continuous improvement of suppliers. These responsibilities will in turn increase your visibility throughout the organisation.
  • Take ownership to adhere to the company's exceptional standards:
    • Use procurement specialist practices across a range of divisions to lead major supplier sourcing systems to maintain the firm's outstanding performance.
  • Incorporate procurement methods to manage the acquisition process:
    • Implement excellent procurement expertise to manage the end-to-end operation of the acquisition process.

Experience needed:

  • Clear evidence of previous supplier performance management in procurement-related roles.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving and fast paced environment.
  • Clear track record of stakeholder management with a clear focus on strategy implementation and risk mitigation.
  • Previous work experience of Building services, Facilities Management, outsourcing and transformation projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
