BIG 4 Consultancy - Professional Services Category Manager (finance sub-category focus) - London once a week - £70-80k + £6k car + 12% bonus and other package details
My client is one of the largest professional services firms and is recognized on a global scale for their expertise. They operate across 30 different countries with one of their largest HQs in London. They have been going through a large expansion within their procurement department with the CPO restructuring their strategic approach to procurement to form a synergy across all business units.
They are now seeking a highly skilled procurement professional who has a specialist focus on the professional services category to join them. You will be joining the organization in their BPO arm as a Senior Category Manager managing their Professional Services category but the successful candidate will have a specific focus, or previously large exposure to the Finance sub-category. This position directly reports into the Head of Procurement for the Indirect Spend and you will be working across all UK clients, with a global business presence to help the synergy between business units.
As a Senior Category Manager this role has a great internal trajectory with a career plan that will be discussed and mapped out on your arrival with ample opportunity to progress through the business as well as to explore different categories and gain more procurement exposure.
This role would work across clients and will focus on strategic sourcing and complex negotiation activity across CPS Projects including but not limited to:
- Business Intelligence
- Experience of complex negotiations and experience in Credit data, AML, Fraud, decisioning systems and/or with Global Technology Vendors a MUST
- Experience of other CPS Categories (CWF, Recruitment, Consultancy) (Nice to Have)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement complex & client specific strategic sourcing and negotiation strategies
- Develop and maintain category-specific knowledge assets and market intelligence that capture expertise / best practices
- Infuse market insights into the sourcing process on projects within categories of expertise
- In collaboration with Sourcing Project Management and/or Procurement Practice Advisory, engage with customers' senior management team members to provide perspective on current market trends to inform client strategic decisions/sourcing initiatives in line with business goals and objectives
