The Role and Team

The Procurement Team is responsible for ensuring that the company has a clear strategy when purchasing goods and services.

You will have a passion for purchasing and are looking to move to a large, agile business where we can support your career development. Ideally educated to a degree standard you will have a talent in negotiation with exceptional networking and communication skills.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of both the purchasing process (tender, negotiation and award) and strategic sourcing (market data, supply chain, cost control). Most importantly, you are able to work on your own initiative as well as being an integral part of a high performing team.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the development of a wide range of indirect category spend throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development of the indirect procurement strategy across apetito
  • Act as procurement lead working in co-operation with cross functional teams in the development and execution of sourcing strategies
  • Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, preparation of contracts and tender management
  • Implementation of initiatives, through effective programme and project management.
  • Identifying areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results
  • Responsible for supplier performance management and continuous improvement to ensure contracts meet and exceed business objectives of cost, quality and service.
  • Compliance to Procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CIPS qualified
  • A minimum of 3 years all-rounded Strategic Procurement experience
  • Proven track record of building effective working relationships with business partners and external stakeholders (suppliers)
  • Self-starter, able to manage multiple projects and succeed in a dynamic environment with minimal direction
  • Able to demonstrate business acumen and sensitivity to the changes in the external business, economic and people environment
  • Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contract requirements
  • Expertise in procurement policy, procedures, and processes
  • Digitally aware, Experience working with procurement tools (SAP, Ariba, AX etc) environment at an advanced level
