This globally recognised leader in Electrical Manufacturing with an average annual revenue of £14bn is looking for a Category Manager to join their Facilities Management Team. They are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager - Facilities Management specialist to join their successful Category Management Team. You will be working directly with company leaders who want to see you succeed, you can let your development take centre stage building towards your next professional step in procurement.

Within this role you will take full autonomy in managing the end-to-end performance of the acquisition for critical work packages. Working directly with the Group Category Manager to deliver effective deployment, implementation, and monitoring of category strategies. The ability to demonstrate leadership by making calculated risks and recognise which decisions are needed to create competitive advantage is key whilst you lead major / business critical supplier selection exercises to support business needs - monitoring and revisiting these supplier relationships regularly, evaluating existing and potential supplier agreements to review quality and efficiency throughout your role. In addition, you will be a champion of company values in solidarity & inclusion, environmental sustainability, and diversity objectives within their workflow.

Desirable Candidate Qualities:

  • Formal degree education (BSc/MBA/MSc) or relevant industry experience.
  • Self-starter who wants to use their experience procurement category management to make a positive change.
  • Impressive track record within your procurement career to date, progressing from Graduate Category Team Member to Senior Category Specialist/ Category Manager etc.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to manage top-down within a global organisation
  • Relevant Facilities Management experience with some knowledge of constructing/building an end-to-end procurement function.
