This globally recognised manufacturing market leader is looking for a Category Manager to join their Facilities Management Team. Offering an innovative, employee first culture, as well as a proven continued commitment to learning and development - they are seeking an experienced Facilities Management specialist to join their successful Category Management Team. In this role you may support one or more procurement categories depending on your capabilities and the size of the category.

A successful candidate will be able to:

  • Take full autonomy in managing the end-to-end performance of the acquisition for critical work packages.
  • Lead major / business critical supplier selection exercises to support business needs.
  • Work directly with the Group Category Manager to deliver effective deployment, implementation, and monitoring of category strategies.
  • Monitor and revisit supplier relationships, evaluating existing and potential supplier agreements to review quality and efficiency.
  • Lead major / business critical supplier selection exercises to support business needs. Ensuring that the suppliers provide the competitiveness required to support the business.
  • Demonstrate leadership by making calculated risks and recognising which decisions are needed to create competitive advantage.
  • Actively champion company values in solidarity & inclusion, environmental sustainability, and diversity objectives within their workflow.

Desirable Candidate Qualities:

  • Formal degree education (BSc/MBA/MSc) or relevant industry experience.
  • Self-starter who wants to use their experience procurement category management to make a positive change.
  • Impressive track record within your procurement career to date, progressing from Graduate Category Team Member to Senior Category Specialist/ Category Manager etc.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to manage top-down within a global organisation
  • Relevant Facilities Management experience with some knowledge of constructing/building an end-to-end procurement function.
