Senior IT and Indirects Procurement Manager - Market-Leading Financial Services Organisation - Central London (Hybrid Working 2/3 Days in Office) - £70,000 - £80,000 + Bonus

One of the fastest growing financial institutions in London is looking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager to play a key role their tight-knit, best-in-class procurement function! This is the ideal role for an individual who takes pride in working for a market-leading organisation and autonomously managing business-critical category strategy!

After a recent transformation, procurement is in a very strong position within the business. Despite not being mandated, the function has excellent buy-in across different business functions, meaning that rather than trying to convince stakeholders to use them, they are able to prioritise the business-critical projects and attack those head on!

In this role, you will be the right hand person to the Head of Procurement, developing and implementing the procurement strategy for multiple indirect categories with a primary focus on IT Procurement and Professional Services Procurement, and working with spends in the hundreds of £millions!

The position has come about after the incumbent procurement manager has been headhunted out of the business into a Head of Procurement role due to the skills they have developed here and the reputation the business has. This is the perfect platform for an accomplished procurement manager who is looking to become a Head of Procurement in the next few years!

Senior IT & Indirects Procurement Manager, required background: -

  • Experience of autonomously owning £Multi-million procurement and strategic sourcing projects from cradle-to-grave across IT and Indirect Procurement Categories
  • Exposure to a highly regulated environment (Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Automotive etc.) is beneficial but not essential
  • Good understanding of supplier risk assessments and identifying risk in supplier contracts
  • Strong academic background (degree + CIPS) is beneficial but not essential

If you are a procurement manager who is looking to become a Head of Procurement in the next 5 years, then this is the ideal springboard you need to develop the relevant skillsets!
