Head of Procurement: Operations and Governance - Leading Corporate Services

Salary: £75-85,000 plus bonus and package

Location: Remote options with infrequent travel to North West England

This Global Leader in technological and professional services are continuing a rapid expansion of their worldwide operations and procurement function. With a presence in 30+ countries, their technological services have a truly Global presence, and they pride themselves on their unique and collaborative approach to major clients in the private and public sector. Now, due to rapid investments and continued success, they seek an experienced procurement professional to join one of their flagship Public Sector partnerships in the UK and take the lead on building out a brand new centre of excellence as a Head of Procurement for Operations and Governance.

In this position, you will be reporting to the Head of Procurement Services and be responsible for developing strategic policies and processes, ensuring that the broad range of suppliers supporting all operations are robust, fit for purpose and embodying the organisations wider goals. This position is vital to ensure that risks are managed effectively across a highly complex supply chain, and strategies are pushed through smoothly and effectively.

As an award-winning workplace, this team seeks ambitious and passionate professionals to join the procurement function and continue striving for excellence. This is a unique opportunity that is a greenfield role in an established, industry-recognised team, meaning that you have the opportunity to make your own impact and dictate the agenda for this position. You will also be recruiting people into your team as your role evolves, becoming more complex and sitting within a larger centre of excellence unit.

The salary for this role is between £75-85,000 and involves minimal travel (approx. once per fortnight) to the HQ in North West England. If you live nearby this region, you are able to go into the office more but this firm also welcomes applicants from further afield in the UK due to their largely remote structure.

If you have experience in operational procurement, either on a project basis or long term risk management / supplier assurance across public sector / regulated procurement and framework developments, then this could be a fantastic next step to step into an award winning procurement team and drive forward the strategy by having the strongest foundations and processes in place.
