About Us

As the Royal Parks charity, we protect and conserve over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other public spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.

We are currently seeking a Contracts Support Manager to join us on a permanent, full-time basis working 36 hours per week, including agile and hybrid options.

The Role

As the Contracts Support Manager, you will develop and oversee the implementation of our contract management strategy, ensuring a consistent approach across our organisation. You will be supporting the management of a wide variety of contracts, from major events to refurbishment and conservation work.

Drawing on best practice from the charity and public sector, you will help shape good contract management at TRP by developing and distributing guidance, toolkits and training to colleagues, by developing positive relationships with key contract management colleagues and by undertaking quality control of significant contracts.

You will also ensure that colleagues have access to up-to-date procurement contracts register.

About You

To be considered as a Contracts Support Manager, you will need:

- Demonstrable experience of managing large contracts (at least £1m pa)
- Experience of managing change at all levels of an organisation to achieve overall goals
- Experience of strategy development and implementation
- Knowledge of types of contracts such as concession and works contracts
- Detailed knowledge of the relevant legislation, including the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Concession Contract Regulations 2016
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills

Ideally, you will have experience of managing different types of contracts and experience of large-scale procurement exercises.

An MCIPS or similar professional qualification would be highly advantageous.
