Category Manager - £50,000-£60,000

An experienced Category Manager with a focus on sustainable strategy is presently sought by this prominent Utilities organisation. The business is steadfastly dedicated to environmental responsibility and changing the utilities industry to adopt a sustainable and ethical ethos. Because of this emphasis, their sourcing activities and procurement procedures have seen transformational growth and strategic development inside the procurement function. They want you to play a significant role in the execution of market-leading category plans that give priority to renewable and environmentally friendly outcomes as they have a net-zero carbon target by 2030.

The company strives for best-in-class procurement processes and has a well-established, cooperative team. You will be responsible for supporting the team's expansion and development as they continuously enhance their procurement function. The function presently has a £multi-Million spend, and new requirements for the function and category are constantly emerging as a result of their innovative and forward-thinking advancements. To ensure procurement excellence and value added for the business, you will be working directly with stakeholders and reporting to the Procurement Business Partner.

The role currently sits in the organisation's Reading HQ on a flexible basis circa 2-3x per week and the salary offered for the role is up to £60,000 plus a wider benefits package. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategically adept Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager to implement their vision within this leading UK Utilities firm.
