Procurement Governance Process Improvement Manager - Market-Leading FinTech - Leeds - £60,000 - £65,000 + Bonus

A household name in the financial services industry is looking for a Procurement Governance and Process Management expert to manage and develop their recently implemented global supplier management framework!

The successful applicant will be the key driver for the procurement process improvement, by building out a company-wise framework that will change the way the organisation interacts with suppliers and manages their procurement. The impact this individual will make will be truly significant and as the successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to shape what it will look like. There is a huge amount of buy-in from the business who are committed to building a team around this individual and will back them with any technological / automation improvements they would like to make!

As Procurement Governance Process Improvement Manager, you will: -

  • Assess and improve this new vendor management framework that will affect how all suppliers/vendors are interacted with across all business functions with a view to make it best-in-class
  • Lead a small, highly capable team that will specialize in modernizing the way in which this organization manages its suppliers/vendors; delegating different suppliers/business functions across the team
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with C-Suite stakeholders at business-critical Tier 1 suppliers, completely altering the way in which they have been managed previously
  • Assess Risk and Compliance aligned with financial services regulations, building these processes into how your framework operates

Procurement Governance Process Improvement Manager, Required Background: -

  • Evidence of running an SRM / Vendor Management framework in the past, ideally having successfully modernized existing processes or acted as the SME within the business
  • Experience across supplier governance, supplier risk and compliance
  • Exposure to a regulated environment such as Financial Services or Aerospace/Defence
  • Team management experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong academic record is beneficial but not essential at this level
