This globally renowned organization is looking to grow its best-in-class procurement function and is therefore seeking an Indirect Procurement Category Assistant to join the team. You will report directly into head of procurement thus providing excellent exposure to senior stakeholders. This heritage brand has an established procurement function but they are continuously creating and implementing fresh procurement strategy, thus enabling you to imprint your approach.

You will be working amongst an excellent company environment that provides great opportunities for development with a clear pathway for fast-track progression and provision of training initiatives including CIPS sponsorship.

Global Indirect Procurement Category Assistant responsibilities…

• Drive indirect procurement projects across the end-to-end procurement function for a range of indirect procurement categories, including but not limited to, Professional Services procurement, IT procurement and Marketing procurement
• Support the full vendor management process with key suppliers on both a UK and global remit as well as provide tender management support
• Continuously identify areas for improvement across the procurement function and suggest, deliver and maintain improvements around procurement strategy, practice and processes
• Undertake various day-to-day procurement activities, from strategic sourcing and negotiation to contract management and supplier selection

Global Indirect Procurement Category Assistant requirements…

• Ability to demonstrate past procurement success within the indirect procurement space in relation to a generalist range of indirect procurement categories
• Strong skills surrounding stakeholder relationship management and negotiation
• Desire to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
