Role: Senior Category Manager - Raw Materials

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 + Package

This global food manufacturer is renown within its industry and is quite truly market leading. During your visits to a supermarket, the majority of your groceries will be made by this firm without you necessarily noticing.. but now you will. Their procurement function sits here within the UK and is award-winning for its commitment to sustainable procurement, the training and development of its people, procurement strategy, use of digital technology, and diversity and inclusion practises internally!

The successful candidates role responsibilities:

• Work alongside director level managers to formulate and develop a category strategy for the raw materials area of the business.
• Full responsibility to develop and deliver agreed sourcing plan within raw materials.
• Ensure all sustainable element have been taken into consideration for strategic sourcing activities.
• Work with existing suppliers, ensuring all KPI's to being worked to but always using market knowledge and research look to onboard new suppliers on a global scale - ensuring company standards are being matched.

Key experience/ knowledge required:

• Experience within a category management role ideally but will consider backgrounds within supplier or contracts management backgrounds.
• Experience with supplier management and c-suite stakeholder management
• Industry backgrounds ideally from manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical or healthcare.
