Fast-Growth Online Retail Company

Location - Berlin, DE

Salary - €75k-€85k + Bonus & Benefits

Contact - Rikard, JobsRL@bramwithconsulting.co.uk

This established global online retail and e-commerce business is rapidly expanding and along with this business expansion, procurement is significantly developing its maturity within the business to deliver greater value to its internal customers.

Procurement is taking a more strategic role in the business and growing from being a local-market-focused operation to a global category management approach to deep dive into major strategic spend pools.

The business is in search of a talented indirect procurement manager with the range of skills to be both a global category manager for a key indirect spend whilst also managing the local market procurement activities for Germany and acting as a trusted business partner to the local stakeholders.

As the Global Category Manager & Procurement Business Partner your responsibilities will include:-

  • Ownership and management of at least one key global indirect spend category including strategy definition and implementation
  • Delivery of global strategic initiatives like RFPs, Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Consolidation, and more
  • Effectively manage a highly fragmented supplier portfolio to create a more streamlined preferred list of suppliers for your global category
  • Deploy global processes, policies, and strategies into your local market and ensure adoption by local stakeholders
  • Support senior leadership in Germany with any procurement-related requests

The Global Category Manager should have the following skills and expertise in order to be considered for the position:-

  • Proven background in sourcing, procurement, and category management at an international level in order to negotiate complex multi-site and multi-country agreements with suppliers
  • Advanced negotiation and supplier management skills to always secure the best value from the market
  • Adept at working in fast growth and rapidly changing environments whilst supporting business transformation and development
  • Excellent communication skills, preferably in both English and German, and expertise in international stakeholder management to work with colleagues across the world

This is an exciting time to be part of this e-commerce tech giant as they continue to expand and reach new heights in the industry. If you are interested in working in the Tech sector and looking to further develop your procurement experience at a global level then this role is an excellent match for your ambitions.
