About the role
An exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the global supplier relationships that are shaping the critical energy network including new and innovative technologies such as BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage)
You’ll develop and grow the supply chain to support the future business strategy whilst building strong relationships with existing suppliers to optimise performance and reduce costs.
Working with Contract Owners and Suppliers you’ll work to improve the performance of key contracts to deliver ongoing commercial value and minimise supply risks ensuring delivery, as well as demonstrating the post contract value from key business relationships.
You’ll work closely with the wider procurement team including Procurement Leads (UK & North America), Head of Procurement Performance and Head of Procurement. This role reports to the Head of Supplier Performance & Relationships.
About you
You’ll have strong commercial awareness and extensive experience in the post-signature activities essential in managing relationships with suppliers to achieve business strategies.
You will have demonstrated this experience working in a supplier relationship management, contract management, vendor management role, delivering performance improvement programmes and have a track record in establishing processes, ways of working and dashboards.
Professional procurement / supplier management qualifications including CIPS/IACCM are desirable, however we are more interested if you have demonstrable experience in a similar role.
