We are retained by our client, the States of Guernsey, to recruit into multiple Senior Procurement Manager posts as a result of a strategic commercial transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity, to work for a progressive organisation, in a role that will make a tangible and positive difference to the population of Guernsey.

The Opportunity:-

Working in an environment that is not bound by the Public Sector procurement rules, but is committed to the principles of fairness, transparency and value for money, this is a great Senior Procurement Manager opportunity that will work closely with Senior Civil Servants, Government officials, key stakeholders and suppliers.

Leading a team, the successful candidate will either develop and deliver key category strategies for critical common goods and services spend that will be utilised across a number of the States of Guernsey’s committees (directorates / departments) or will be providing more ‘on the ground’ direct support for committee for specific procurement activities in areas such as Health and Social Care, Home Affairs (inc. Blue light services), Trading Assets (inc. utilities, airports, ports) etc.

Key candidate criteria:-

  • Category manager / management experience that has been gained from either a public or private sector environment Procurement team leadership / mentoring experience. A commercial approach, with the ability to challenge the ethos, influence and deliver best value A pro-active business partnering / stakeholder engagement approach, across both internal clients and the supplier community.

For the right candidate(s), these roles attract a salary of up to £88,814, as well as an excellent benefits package which includes both relocation & accommodation support.
