Global Lead Buyer

Global Technology Giant – Remote/London – Global Lead Buyer – Software - £80-90k + package

One of my key clients is a industry leading technology firm, renowned for its innovation and best in class services. Due to a promotion within the team they are now looking for a highly driven and experienced procurement professional with a background in Software and workspace software. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the €60M+ of  Software spend and some of the largest global telecoms agreements.

The successful candidate will join an award-winning procurement function owning the strategy, supplier selection and overall supplier relationship for all vendors in the portfolio. You will be working closely with the Global Category Lead Buyer for Software also working cross functionally with other business units.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Build sourcing strategy for software vendors of the Workspace portfolio (Microsoft, LinkedIn, Adobe, Quest, Citrix…)
• Manage full portfolio sourcing process, supplier negotiations and paperwork, strategic account relationships, performance evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive global savings initiatives in close cooperation with stakeholders (internal use, managed services and resell)
• Evaluate make-vs-buy decision, conduct RFP and negotiate renewals taking benefit from end of quarter or fiscal year.

The successful candidate will:

• A good background in software procurement with a focus on business software having worked with the likes of Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Adobe
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, delivering clear and concise analysis of market data to ensure that the correct business decisions are being made
• Clear career progression in global organisations
