Head of Procurement – Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) & Chemicals – FTSE 100 Global Pharmaceutical firm - £140,000 + c.£10,000 cash allowance + 30% bonus + package (including strong share options, pension etc.) – Europe Based Remote

A world renowned global Pharmaceutical is currently recruiting for a Procurement leader within their well-established, worldwide Procurement Team London. This role will see you taking responsibility across the complex and growing spend of APIs & Chemicals in this multi-billion pound organisation, managing spends of £500m+

The company’s Head of Procurement will be an ambitious individual that has progressed rapidly within leading FTSE 100 organisations, ideally working within multiple businesses to understand best-in-class and be able to bring it in-house.

In this role the priority will be to deliver true business value & innovation, by challenging the status quo to optimise cost, efficiency and risk management practices. Whilst also managing a high performing, ambitious team.

The successful applicant will enjoy a meritocratic and collaborative work environment, one-to-one training from the Global CPO and a colossal Global sourcing & procurement remit.

This Head pf Procurement position will involve:

• Engaging in high-profile and large budget procurement projects across APIs & Chemicals categories
• Designing and implementing sourcing strategies and overseeing their execution within both regional and global frameworks
• Engaging with Board Level Stakeholders without hesitation, learning from those who excel globally
• Collaborate with the procurement performance team to understand current status and set about improving it through continuous improvement methodologies
• Create board papers and leadership presentations, acting as an extension of the CPO in specific meetings to represent organisational strategy

The following Procurement skills are required:

• Rapid progression to date, rising from Graduate Buyer / Procurement Specialist to Leadership / Directorship within a short space of time – across APIs & Chemicals spend
• Industry experience within complex the Pharmaceutical space
• The successful applicant will have a wide interest in sustainability i.e. Sustainable Procurement Pledge ambassador
• History of high-performance with multiple global FTSE 100 organisations
• Degree, MBA & MCIPS preferred
