Procurement Category Manager - Awarding-Winning Global Law Firm - Basingstoke - Hybrid - £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

This well-established law firm has been operating successfully on a global scale for almost 100 years. Within their growing Procurement team, they have amassed over 5,000 employees including, Lawyers, Partners and Legal Professionals. The multi-award-winning Law firm has been awarded 'Top Law Firm' across Data Privacy, Litigation and Arbitration and with their recurring success and growth they're seeking a specialised Procurement Category Manager with dierct and indirect category experience.

The Procurement Category Manager will specialise in the technology and data division and perform multifunctional roles to establish and integrate processes and procedures while offer strategic advice to support the end-to-end procurement process.

As a Procurement Category Manager, your responsibilities will entail:

  • Managing categories and individual projects whilst tracking and reporting saving benefits.
  • Strategic sourcing through analysis of contracts to ensure key risks are understood and outlined to aid contract negotiations and tender preparation.
  • Monitoring supplier performance reviews to drive continuous improvement to support the success of commercial objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining rapport with stakeholders across different levels and supporting M&A integration.

A strong Procurement Category Manager candidate will have the followings skills and experience:

  • A proven record of Indirect Procurement experience and expertise within the following categories, IT Professional Services, Telecoms and Software.
  • Experience in managing end-to-end procurement and supplier management.
  • Contract management including, commercial negotiating and contract tendering.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Indirect Procurement delivery i.e., RFx, supplier management and market analysis.
  • Analytical experience and ability to present key findings and strategic solutions to stakeholders.

Desirable, but not essential:

  • CIPS qualified or working towards qualification.
