Procurement Manager - Sustainable Energy Utilities Firm - Basingstoke + Package

This company is one of the largest making a change to the way people view energy. They currently provide sustainable and renewable energy to over half of the nation's homes. Since launching, their plans remain to make energy greener and affordable to everyone and to help with this goal they're seeking a driven and forward-thinking Senior Procurement Manager to help accomplish this global challenge and be a part of a global, planet-preserving change.

As a Procurement Manager, you will be reporting into the Head of Procurement and have close interactions with COO, Operations Director and other C level stakeholder. You will be appointed ample opportunities of growth within the direct procurement team. It will be your responsibility to deliver an abundance of knowledge in energy-saving products, innovative technologies, and trends in the energy market space.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for:

  • Keeping track for procurement budgets and ensuring they are aligned with the suppliers.
  • Seeking strategic ways to improve value, spends and innovation.
  • Showcasing management skills of a small team of procurement managers.
  • Finding ways to improve the contract database, P2P, RFPs whilst maintaining a strong relationship with key stakeholders.

If you are an ambition individual in the Procurement space, a successful Procurement Manager will have:

  • A MCIPS qualification or be working towards this.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of vigorous negotiating skills and exposure C level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector.
  • Experience in presenting key findings and solutions, acquiring, and retaining relationships.
