Strategic Procurement Manager

Salary | £50,000 - £60,000

This UK-Leading Utilities firm are driven by becoming carbon neutral and contributing effectively to biodiversity. As their procurement projects increase, as does the need for a talented Procurement Professional, the Strategic Procurement team are looking for a Strategic Procurement Manager who can utilise their indirect and direct procurement experience, to manage category spends of £100m across short and long term projects covering renewable energy, engineering and, infrastructure development across the nation!

The Strategic Procurement Manager opportunity is perfect for a top performer who has a desire to climb the ranks to senior leadership, you will ideally have previous experience across categories such as, Retail, Finance, Infrastructure, FMCG, Manufacturing, Engineering, Marketing and, Telecoms.

You will be an integral component to the Strategic Procurement function. By using your prior experience in managing suppliers, projects from implementation to execution across indirect and direct categories and, the expectations of senior level stakeholders; it will be your responsibility to ensure projects are executed to a high standard and suppliers are adding value to and meeting the wider company objectives.

Your responsibilities, as a Strategic Procurement Manager

• Utilising your market knowledge to strategically, and analytically identify a range of opportunities, trends, and market insights that result in an increase in value and mitigation of commercial risk.
• Proven ability to provide detailed procurement insights across supply market dynamics, suppliers, internal frameworks, and innovations to identify new pipelines of opportunities to optimise value and mitigate risks.
• Managing a portfolio with an array of suppliers to support and enhance the contract life cycle.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to inform them of supply market insights and category knowledge.
