Role Purpose

  • Negotiates favourable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of technical equipment, custom engineered products, systems, software or components.
  • Acquires and maintains understanding of technology trends, market forces, cost trends and supplier technology road maps.
  • The Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for executing the cost-effective timely delivery of projects.
  • The Commercial Contracts Manager is responsible for driving the sourcing process, identifying Risk and Opportunities, and collaborating with key stakeholders to execute the procurement strategy.
  • Driving out unnecessary expenditure and the timely delivery of contractual solutions within the Project timescales.
  • The Commercial Contracts Manager will need to develop new supplier relationships to meet future aspirations.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence behaviours and ensure appropriate involvement of Procurement in all sourcing activities.
  • Collaboratively develop plans with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of targets, improve supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement plans across spend.

Desired Skillset & Experience

  • Looking for a self-starter who possesses commercial & procurement experience, relevant knowledge & experience of procurement and has the technical knowledge of Framework and Tasking Management.
  • The Commercial Contracts Manager should be delivery, achievement and customer focussed with both a propensity to exceed expectations and the ability to thrive independently with a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Confident communicator, influencer & relationship builder. A professional who is detail orientated by nature and possesses the ability to problem solve.

Key Skills

Procurement & Supply Chain experience | CIPS Qualified or equivalent | 3+ years in a Procurement or Supply Chain related role | Proven negotiation skills | Contract drafting exposure | Strong contract knowledge
